Argentine dating


Due to their large size, Argentine black and white tegus need a large and secure enclosure.

Juvenile tegus can be kept in a large glass aquarium with a locking lid but adults will need a larger specialty terrarium or custom built cage.

The scientific name is and as the name implies, they are from South America.

The estimated life span of an Argentine black and white tegu is about 15 years in captivity.


The Argentine black and white tegu can reach an adult size of 4 feet or even longer (including the tail) with females being slightly smaller.

They have a fairly distinctive pattern of white and black dots and stripes over their entire body.
