Amy Christine Dumas (April 14, 1975), best known by her stage name Lita, is the lead singer for the band The Luchagors as well as a retired professional wrestler and WWE Diva active from 1999 to 2006.She is now signed to a Legends contract, working in the Legends program.She majored in education at Georgia State University, but dropped out in 1993 because she felt it was too much like high school. C., Dumas played bass guitar in several bands, and she worked as a roadie for a band for five years.She began taking judo classes and started wrestling.The relationship also led to the firing of Hardy in 2005, although he was rehired later that year.After her retirement from wrestling in 2006, she and then-boyfriend Shane Morton formed the punk rock band The Luchagors.Dumas had an off-screen relationship with Matt Hardy, which ended in 2005 after an affair with Adam Copeland.
After briefly working on the independent circuit and in Extreme Championship Wrestling, Dumas signed with World Wrestling Federation in 1999.Originally, she was paired with Essa Rios, but she achieved her greatest push alongside Matt and Jeff Hardy as Team Xtreme.Throughout her career, she won the WWE Women's Championship four times.During her tenure with the company she became arguably the most popular Diva in the company's history.
The band released their self-titled debut CD on September 11, 2007.
Amy Christine Dumas attended many different schools throughout her childhood and adolescent years and managed to finish high school at Lassiter High School six months before graduation.
