Safe Helpline staff work closely with each Military Department SAPR office, as well as installation-based SARCs and SAPR VAs, to ensure that all SHL users receive the information, support, and care they need, when they are ready to receive it.
Aimed to provide crisis response, information, and to connect survivors to needed resources, while simultaneously building confidence in the reporting process.
When survivors are ready, Safe Helpline staff will connect them to a Sexual Assault Response Coordinator (SARC) or Sexual Assault Prevention & Response (SAPR) Victim Advocate (VA).
